Refer & earn
Bring one wallet. Get paid for as long as it runs.
Three percent of the yield every vault opened through your link produces, paid into your wallet in the same transaction that collects it. Not for a month — for the life of the vault. It costs the person you referred nothing: your share comes out of Kelpie's fee, not theirs.
Your link is your wallet address, so there is nothing to register and no code to apply for.
Your referral link
Connect the wallet you want paid into. Your link is your address, so there is no code to register and nothing to sign up for.
How it works
- 1Share your link
Send it to friends, post it in communities, put it wherever you talk about Kelpie.
- 2They open a vault
The first vault someone opens through your link records you as their referrer, on chain, permanently.
- 3You earn
3% of the yield their vaults produce, paid into your wallet in the same transaction that collects it.

Questions
Where does my 3% come from?
Kelpie charges 15% of the yield a vault produces. Your 3 points are carved out of that 15, not added on top, so a referred vault costs its owner exactly what an unreferred one costs. We would rather pay people who bring others than spend the same money on advertising.
Can I have a link that isn't my address?
Yes — register a SuiNS name and use it: ?ref=yourname.sui works exactly like the address link. It is resolved in the visitor's browser before anything is recorded, so both forms pay the same wallet. We deliberately do not run our own registry of custom codes: that would mean a database we own, a claim queue, and somebody eventually registering “kelpie-official”. SuiNS already solved naming for the whole chain, and the name is yours, not ours.
Can I refer myself?
No. The contract drops a referrer that matches the wallet opening the vault, on both venues, so a self-referral simply records no referrer at all.
Can someone change their referrer later?
No, and neither can we. The referrer is written onto the vault when it is created and there is no function anywhere in either package that changes it afterwards. That protects the relationship in both directions.
What about vaults they already had?
Those keep whatever referrer they were created with, which for a vault opened before following your link means none. The field is fixed at creation and cannot be set later — the same rule that stops anyone taking a referral off you also stops one being added retrospectively. Every vault they open from that point on is yours.
How do I get paid?
Straight to your wallet, in the token that was earned, inside the same transaction that collects it. There is no balance to watch, nothing to claim and no schedule. If you see the transaction, you have been paid.
Is there a limit?
No. Refer as many people as you like.
Why do I need a vault before I get a link?
Because a referral link says its sender uses this. Requiring $10.00 in a vault keeps the scheme to people with their own money in it, and that money stays entirely yours — it is a position, not a fee.
